Don and Linda Warner

Sharing a Space for Prayer, Remembrance and Healing

At three months of age, Angela Warner was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis and her life became a daily fight for survival. Her parents, Don and Linda, were blessed to watch her become an impressive young woman who refused to be defined by her disease. She lost her battle with cystic fibrosis at age 21.

As a tribute to Angela, they created the Angela Warner Foundation, a fund of Minnesota Community Foundation, which helped create the Angela Warner Children’s Memorial and Prayer Garden in New Hope, Minnesota. Three life-size bronze angels, seven unique bronze features and more than 100 plants and flowers surround a pool with bronze dolphins and its tranquil backdrop of running water.

Bereaved parents and others will find a special place for prayer, remembrance and healing. In addition, parents can memorialize their child by inscribing their names on paving bricks that border the walkway leading to the garden.

Through the Angela Warner Foundation, the prayer garden and a recently published book by Don Warner titled Walks on the Beach with Angie, the Warners continue to share Angela’s courageous life with the world.
