WINGS | Jacqui Dorsey
Jacqui Dorsey, Northfield resident and board member of Minnesota Community Foundation and The Saint Paul Foundation, doesn't just believe in the idea that you can do more together, she lives it.
"By linking my support to other contributors with similar goals, I realized we could do so much more." As a member of WINGS (Women in Northfield Giving Support), a socially active alliance that contributes to high-priority community efforts and a Fund of Minnesota Community Foundation, she found a way to make big things happen.
Jacqui's energy and delight shines through her voice as she describes how their recent effort at Spring Creek Park brought together several sectors of the community to create a multi-faceted park dotted with soccer fields, gardens, supportive housing, a handicapped-accessible playground and water misters to cool down visitors. "Now we have a gorgeous recreational park for people to enjoy. It's amazing what we can accomplish together."
