The Saint Paul Foundation is a community foundation. Community foundations offer donors a place to create charitable funds and recommend grants that support the issues and organizations they care about. Some of the funds provided to The Saint Paul Foundation by generous donors are not designated for a specific use, allowing our experts to distribute those funds according to needs identified by the community that match our foundation and its goals.
The Saint Paul Foundation was created in 1940 and is still growing today. Because of our deep commitment and long-time involvement in the community, the foundation is able to:
- Help donors make a difference on the issues and places that matter most to them. By providing charitable advice and services, we can help donors achieve their charitable giving goals.
- Help our Community Affiliates focus their work on issues of importance to specific communities and neighborhoods in the Saint Paul area, including Ramsey, Dakota and Washington counties.
- Have an extraordinary impact on our community through investing and distributing assets entrusted to us by donors.
- Take action on critical issues through our Community Initiatives.
